Archery Safety Briefs
The Fairfax County Archery Program is a unique program and an effective deer management tool.
All Archery Groups Liaisons selected by archery hunt lottery must attend a 1-hour Archery Safety Brief prior to participating in the Archery Program.
Attendance is mandatory for all Archery Group Liaisons and alternate - NO EXCEPTIONS.
If an Archery Group Liaison or alternate is unable or unwilling to attend the Archery Safety Brief, their group will be disqualified from participating in the Archery Program.
An Archery Program overview, Urban Archery facts, and important site-specific information will be provided including: authorized parking areas, approved access points, and hunt zone boundaries for deer management activity.
All Archery Program documents will be provided during the Archery Safety Brief including Archery Program ID Cards, Parking Passes, State and County permit copies, and program hunt tags.
Archery Safety Brief Dates
Selected Archery Groups Liaisons and alternate must attend one of the meeting dates below.
You will need to contact Sgt. Earit Powell at earit.powell@fairfaxcounty.gov to schedule your safety briefing.
Archery Safety Briefs for the Fiscal Year 2013 Archery Program will be conducted on the following dates:

Session #1: Friday, August 10, 2012, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Session #2: Friday, August 10, 2012, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Session #3: Friday, August 24, 2012, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Session #4: Friday, August 24, 2012, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
