Off-line Products and Services - Digital Data Sales

The GIS & Mapping Services office provides GIS data and maps on CD/DVD for purchase.  Please note, however, all of the maps and much of the data is accessible for free through the following resources found in the On-line Products and Services section: Digital Map Viewer application, the Map Gallery, and GIS Layers. Pricing for all the products listed below are found in the  GIS Products & Services Price List.

Digital GIS Data

Wall Map Data

This data set includes over 40 layers of attributed vector map data that were derived primarily from the Fairfax County 1"= 2000' and 1"= 4000' Wall Map Series. For more information about this data set, please read the Wall Map Data information document.

To purchase this disc, please visit the GIS and Mapping Services office or complete the Digital Products Order Form and license agreement and mail these, with a check or money order (see price list), to Fairfax County GIS & Mapping Services.

Property & Topography Data

This data set includes over 30 layers of attributed property, planimetric, and contour vector data that were derived primarily from survey plats and orthophotography. You may purchase the data set for the entire County, or you may buy the data set by tax map grid tile. For more information about this data set, please read the Property & Topography Data infomation document.

• The Property & Topography by Map Grid Tile data disc is available in Shapefile or Geodatabase format. There is a set-up and per tax map grid tile charge. See price list for details.

Aerial Imagery

Orthoimagery (rectified digital aerial photography) is available for sale to the public. It may be packaged in countywide or quarter-county coverages, and is available in either 1-foot or 2-foot resolution.  Year 2000 coverage is incomplete and is 2-foot resolution only. Information about which years are available, their geographic coverage, and prices are detailed in the second page of the Product and Services pricing document.

Aerial imagery is available on-line in the My Neighborhood or Aerial/Ortho Photo Viewer applications, and non-digital aerial photography is available for viewing/copying in the GIS & Mapping Services office.

Property Maps

This disc contains property maps for all 444 of Fairfax County's grid sections in PDF format. The maps are current to 01/01/2009 and may include updates through the order date. Zoning Maps

This disc contains zoning maps for all 444 of Fairfax County's grid sections in PDF format. The maps are current to 01/01/2009 and may include updates through the order date. Contour Maps w/Property

This CD contains contour maps with property identification for all 444 of Fairfax County's grid sections in PDF format. The contours are current to 1997 in the NE & NW quarters of the County, 2004 in the SE quarter, and 2005 in the SW quarter.
