Visit the GIS & Mapping Services office and create a custom map centered on your area of interest.
Map Wizard
The Map Wizard is a software application that simplifies the process of making a map of any area in Fairfax County. At the GIS & Mapping Services office, front counter staff can navigate the software to zoom to an area of interest and print a map while you wait. The process to create a map using the Map Wizard is outlined below:
1) Select from one of the following seven map templates.
2) Zoom to your area of interest.
The map may be centered on any point in Fairfax County and zoomed in or out accourding to your preferences. If you have a parcel identification number, the map may be easily zoomed to the specified property.
3) Choose the paper size.

- 17" x 22"
- 34" x 44"
4) Send your map to the printer/plotter.
Map prices are determined by paper size. Prices range from $5.00 to
