Mason District Seven Corners Visioning Task Force

Objective

Fairfax County is undertaking a re-assessment of the Seven Corners area to evaluate current conditions, and make recommendations for future land use and development in the Seven Corners commercial area.  Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross initiated this process last fall.  In the next 18-24 months, Fairfax County Revitalization staff will be working with the community to evaluate improvements including, but not limited to; land use, transportation, pedestrian and bicycle connectivity, health & safety, environmental sustainability, and beautification.

The Seven Corners Visioning continues with the formation of a Land Use and Transportation Task Force, Quality of Life Work Group, and Connectivity Work Group to explore the opportunities and challenges facing the study area.  The Task Force and Work Groups will provide a forum for the community to share ideas about the future of the area and remain involved through this visioning process.  Local residents, property and business owners, community and civic organizations, and others, are invited to participate in these open discussions. As a vision is developed, future steps for implementation will be identified and discussed.

Seven Corners Task Force and Work Group meetings will be held at the Mason District Governmental Center, 6507 Columbia Pike in Annandale.  Occasionally, off-site meetings may be scheduled as requested by the Task Force.  All meetings are public, and interested residents are welcome.  The Land Use and Transportation Task Force will meet on the second Tuesday evening of each month at 7pm, the Quality of Life Work Group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm, and the Connectivity Work Group will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.  Agendas and supplementary material will be posted as soon as available, and minutes will be posted after each meeting.
