Boards, Authorities and Commission Members Needed
Help serve your community by serving on a Fairfax County Board, Authority or Commission. Please ask your friends, neighbors and community members if they are willing to help serve Fairfax County. Supervisor Hyland has vacancies on:
Barbara Varon Volunteer Award Selection Committee - To review nominee applications and select recipient of the Barbara Varon Volunteer Award.
Child Care Advisory Council - To advise the Board and the Office for Children on programs and policies related to child care.
Commission for Women - To promote the full equality of women and girls in Fairfax County.
Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board - To ensure and oversee the establishment and operation of local mental health, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse programs.

While the particular positions you're interested in may be filled at the time you apply, vacancies do occur regularly and ad hoc groups may be formed by the Board of Supervisors to address specific situations.
