Strategic Planning & Communications
This function supports the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) along with the broader Human Services System in three areas:
Strategic Planning – Plans and leads NCS's strategic planning and performance measurement efforts to ensure a direct link to the human services system strategic vision and improvements in program impact. Utilizes various management tools to help clarify the focus of the agency, provide direction for the business areas, and report out on agency performance.
Internal Communications – Ensures that NCS staff have access to the information (county, human services, and agency) that they need to do their jobs and serve the citizens. Supports an environment where there is free flow of information that is undistorted and up-to-date.
External Communications – Actively markets, promotes and encourages participation in NCS programs and activities. Coordinates NCS information with other county agencies, the county Office of Public Affairs, and the local media. Utilizes technology, including social media, in the sharing and dissemination of information.
This function works closely with the rest of Countywide Service Integration & Planning Management, as well as with the Access and Regional Services & Center Operations divisions.
