Carnival Sneak Peak!
Come during the week when it’s less crowded to enjoy free kid-friendly shows from 10 – 11 a.m. in addition to traditional fair rides, amusements and treats! Kid Singer Jim will perform on Thursday; Ray Owen performs Friday. $15 per person in advance for unlimited one day ride pass (must be purchased by July 31 for special rate; $25 if purchased day of). Contact Frying Pan Farm Park for ride pass details or to purchase. Perfect for playgroups, day camps and families. Free parking and admission. Unlimited ride specials will be sold 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; honored 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday, August 3
Big Truck Night, Outdoor Movie and Carnival Fun at the Farm!
Free parking this night only! Carnival games and rides are open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Children of all ages will enjoy sitting in big trucks, tractors and more from 6 – 8:30 p.m. The animated, family-friendly movie, Cars II, begins at dark on a large outdoor movie screen. Bring blankets or lawn chairs and a flashlight to enjoy the movie. Ride tickets $1 (most rides take 3-5 tickets). Bring your crafts and baked goods in for judging in the 4-H Building. Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5
64th Annual Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Farm Show
Old-fashioned country fun with carnival games, rides and fair exhibits. 4-H Fair runs 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Carnival rides open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday. Watch the 4-H exhibitors get their farm animals ready for the show, visit exhibit booths, try farm chores, enjoy fair food and watch stage entertainment, dog and horse shows and more! An antique tractor pull begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday. $7 parking fee per car.
