2012 Demographic Reports Now Available
The Fairfax County Demographic Reports 2012 is now available. The Demographic Reports is an annual publication that contains estimates and forecasts of population, households and housing units by sub area of the county. It also contains information on housing characteristics such as types of units, age and market value information. Other information in the report includes residential development activity and nonresidential gross floor area. These data are represented by supervisor districts, towns, planning districts, human services regions, ZIP codes and census tracts. All the tables in the report, including census block group data, although not in the report, are available in the demographic and economic information section of the webpage.
In addition, the demographic and economic pages have also been updated to reflect the new 2012 information for population, households, and housing. These pages contain data that are not included in the Demographic Reports including: acres of land by land use category, acres of land and vacant land by zoning class, underutilized residential land report, vacant land planned for commercial/industrial use report, residential condominium housing projects report, office structures report, and wholesale and warehouse storage facilities report.
The Demographic Reports are produced by the Economic, Demographic and Statistical Research unit within the Countywide Service Integration and Planning Management (CSIPM) Division of the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services.
