Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) relies on the generosity of people like you to help build a stronger community through our programs and services. By sharing your time and talent with us, you can make a big difference in the quality of services provided in your community. Our volunteers work side by side with staff in every activity. You may want a long-term assignment or something temporary. Whatever your passion may be, if you enjoy working with kids, people with disabilities, seniors, or have a knack for teaching, special events planning, working outdoors, writing, answering telephones, or other activities, there is an opportunity for you here at NCS.

How Do I Get Started?
After making your decision to volunteer, you must fill out a volunteer application. The volunteer application is used for insurance purposes that register you with Fairfax County as a volunteer. Later you will be asked to fill out a program registration form. Please e-mail your volunteer application. When completed, go to file and send to or e-mail attachment and e-mail to NCSfirstname.lastname@example.org.
To arrange to become a volunteer or discuss volunteering in one or more of the categories listed below, please e-mail our Volunteer Coordinator at NCSemail@example.com. You may also fill out the volunteer apllication and e-mail it to NCSfirstname.lastname@example.org. When it is process, the Volunteer Coordinator will give you a call for the next step.
