To Hold Annual Public Hearing
The Fairfax County Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC) has scheduled a public hearing to solicit comments on the state of the environment in Fairfax County. The public hearing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Conference Rooms 2 and 3, on the lobby level of the Fairfax County Government Center, located at 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia. Originally scheduled for Dec. 11, 2002, the public hearing was postponed due to inclement weather.
The public is encouraged to attend and share views on the state of the environment and to identify any environmental issues applicable to Fairfax County. EQAC considers environmental issues including water quality, air quality, noise, hazardous materials, solid waste, stream valley protection, wildlife management, light pollution, visual pollution and the use and preservation of ecological resources.
