Fairfax County Will Hold Vaccination Clinic
For Health Department Employees

Starting Thursday, March 13, the Fairfax County Health Department will begin vaccinating county Health Department employees who have volunteered to be members of the public health smallpox response team being put in place as part of the county's smallpox planning.

The vaccination clinic will be held at the Joseph Willard Health Center, 3750 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, and will run from 9-11 a.m. Participants will attend an educational session and receive individual medical screening before receiving the vaccine.

Media are invited to attend the smallpox vaccination clinic to observe and photograph the clinic process. Staff from the Health Department will be available to answer questions about the vaccination procedure. Interested media are encouraged to be at the site by 9 a.m. to ensure access to the entire vaccination process.
