Fairfax County Improves Vendor Registration Process
Effective July 1, the Fairfax County Department of Purchasing and Supply Management will begin using eVA to notify vendors of Fairfax County Government and Fairfax County Public Schools sales opportunities.
DPSM will use eVA to prepare bidders lists for formal solicitations, distribute notices of solicitations and publish invitations for bids and requests for proposals.
eVA is Virginia’s electronic procurement portal (www.eva.state.va.us/) that offers one-stop on-line registration that places vendors on the bidders list of over 200 state and local government agencies. eVA features an electronic shopping mall where you can create electronic catalogs listing all of the goods or services that you sell.
The county is no longer accepting applications to be included on the Fairfax County Procurement Opportunities List, and on June 30 will suspend use of the current vendor database for the purpose of sending notices of solicitations to vendors. If vendors want to be on bidders lists for future Fairfax County Government and Schools procurements and receive notices of county procurements, they must register with eVA. To register with eVA, visit http://evaregishelp.dgs.state.va.us/.
