Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan
is Now Available on the Internet
The Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan is now available on the Internet,
the product of a multi-year project to make the county's land use plan
readily available online to the public. The Comprehensive Plan is a guide
to decision-making about the built and natural environment in Fairfax
County.
The Comprehensive Plan consists of five volumes-the Policy Plan and Area
Plans I-IV, as well as the Comprehensive Plan Map. All five volumes are
available online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/gov/ocp/comprehensive_plan/main.htm.
The Comprehensive Plan Map is not currently available online, but a
digitization project is under way to make this possible at a later date.
For questions about the Comprehensive Plan, contact the planner of the
day for the Planning Division, Department of Planning and Zoning, from 8
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday. The planner of the day is available via
phone at 703-324-1380, TTY 711, or in person with no appointment
necessary, at Suite 730 in the Herrity Building, 12055 Government Center
Parkway, Fairfax.
