FAIRFAX CONNECTOR Bus Service
Remains Closed Until Further Notice
Due to concerns about passenger and operator safety associated with projected weather conditions from Hurricane Isabel, FAIRFAX CONNECTOR bus service will remain closed until further notice. FAIRFAX CONNECTOR service may resume sometime Friday afternoon if roads are clear and passenger safety is no longer at high risk. Fairfax County expects to make a decision about Friday afternoon bus service on Friday morning at 11 a.m., after FAIRFAX CONNECTOR staff members have had a chance to assess bus routes and safety conditions.
The decision to remain closed is being made for public safety reasons and in consultation with the federal government, Metro and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. Commuters are encouraged to stay home during this severe weather and stay tuned to local news media.
