Fairfax County Opens
Information Center at the Mt. Vernon RECenter

County officials opened an information center and command post at the Mt. Vernon RECenter, 2017 Belle View Boulevard, Alexandria, to handle inquiries regarding damage experienced from Hurricane Isabel. This center opened at 2 p.m. today and is handling walk-in traffic and telephone inquiries about service disruptions and the evacuation in the Belle View area due to Hurricane Isabel. This center will be open until otherwise notified.

To reach Mt. Vernon RECenter, take Beltway Exit 177A which is Route 1 or Richmond Highway South, bearing right onto Fort Hunt Road, Route 629, and following Fort Hunt Road about 1 and a half miles to Belle View Boulevard. Turn right on Belle View Boulevard and the entrance to the recreation center will be on the left.
