Channel 16, County Web Site to Carry Election Returns
Fairfax County cable subscribers can turn to Channel 16 for live
coverage of the Nov. 4 elections. Live coverage will air every quarter
hour beginning at 7 p.m., and will include comprehensive results of the
Board of Supervisors and School Board races. Channel 16 will carry the
only exclusive Fairfax County local election coverage for the upcoming
election.
As the vote count changes between the quarter hour, Channel 16 will
bring viewers the latest information as it is reported by the Electoral
Board. Key races for Board of Supervisors, Sheriff and School Board will
be updated constantly. The cablecast will include reported unofficial
Fairfax County totals.
Channel 16 also is video streamed to anyone with Internet access. To
access the streaming, go to www.fairfaxcounty.gov
and follow the link to the live video stream. Users will be connected to
the video stream through Windows Media Player. If a user does not have
Windows Media Player capability, they will be instructed how to download
a media player function to receive the video stream.
Election results also can be accessed from the county Web site at www.fairfaxcounty.gov.
The unofficial results will be tallied by precinct and will be updated
every 15 minutes, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
