Greater Annandale Community Dialogue to be Held Dec. 10
The Fairfax County Community Resilience Project and the Fairfax County Department of Systems Management for Human Services invite residents in the Annandale area, including the surrounding Springfield, Alexandria, Falls Church and Burke areas, to attend an interactive multicultural community dialogue. The dialogue is entitled “Many Roads, One Community” and will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson High School, 6560 Braddock Road, Alexandria.
The dialogue has been organized by representatives of different faith groups in the community and will be facilitated by George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Residents from different ethnic, faith and cultural backgrounds will explore how to build a stronger and more resilient community for today and the future. Questions to be addressed include: Since Sept. 11, how has your community changed? What do we want to understand about one another? How can we build one resilient community?
The event is free and open to the public and you
can register through the close of business on Wednesday, Dec. 10. To
register, for more information or to request reasonable ADA
accommodations, call the Fairfax County Community Resilience Project at
703-533-5388, TTY 711.
