A Newsletter with News to Use
The Office of Public Affairs is expanding the distribution of one of its most popular publications, "News to Use," which contains seasonal articles about programs and services in Fairfax County, such as public safety, recreation, child care and more. In the past, "News to Use" was only mailed to community association presidents. In order to make it more widely available, it will be created as an electronic newsletter, although the information will be made available in hard copy to people who request it. In the new electronic format, it will be distributed, free, to anyone who subscribes. People can subscribe at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/opa/n2u/htm. In order to receive the Feb. 2 issue, people must subscribe by Feb. 1.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 2, "News to Use" will be published monthly (the first Monday of each month), in the form of an e-mail newsletter. The articles will be short, containing only the essential information, but most will have links to additional information that can be found on the county's Web site. Subscribers are welcome and encouraged to reprint any of the information in their own newsletters.
