The Fairfax County Human Rights Commission is accepting nominations for its 27th annual Human Rights Awards. The awards will recognize nominees from three categories -- individuals, nonprofit organizations and businesses -- for outstanding accomplishments in the area of human rights in Fairfax County during 2003.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Feb. 27. Nominees for this award are selected on the basis of their contributions toward the achievement of equality in Fairfax County. Contributions may represent a single significant activity, long-term commitment displayed through various activities, or corporate equality programs of an extensive and outstanding nature. The 2003 award recipients, as well as recipients of previous years' awards, will be honored at a banquet in May.
