Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Plans Retreat
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a retreat for Friday, Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb.14, at River's Bend Guest Ranch in Stanley, Va. The ranch belongs to Springfield District Supervisor Elaine McConnell and her husband, who are making the facility available free of charge. This retreat will be an opportunity to move forward to discuss the board's vision and priorities for the next four years. When the 10th urban county Board of Supervisors took office on Jan. 1, many things were new: a new chairman, two new supervisors and many new challenges. This retreat will empower the board to launch the county into the future by developing a clear strategy and realistic plans to achieve it.
