Zoning Staff Reports Now Available Online
Are you interested in rezoning, proffered condition amendments, special exceptions, special permits or variances in Fairfax County? The public can now access staff reports online through a system called LDSnet (Land Development System). The Zoning Evaluation Division of the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning was commended by the Board of Supervisors at its Monday, Feb. 9, meeting for completing the updates that make this process available. Staff reports and addenda for pending applications will be available online approximately two weeks prior to public hearings for the Planning Commission and approximately one week prior to public hearings for the Board of Zoning Appeals.
To access the system:
- Click on Search by Application Number (ZAPS)
- Enter the application number
- Highlight the application number
- Select Staff Reports
In addition, users may select other options, including participant contacts and GIS site maps. Final proffers, development conditions and plans are posted following approval of applications. LDSnet is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except from 8 to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends for database maintenance.
