Springfield District Supervisor to Hold Two Community Meetings on the FY 2005 Advertised Budget
Springfield District Supervisor Elaine McConnell will hold two community meetings in March to discuss the FY 2005 advertised budget and real estate tax assessments.
The first community meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, in Rooms 4 and 5 of the Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, for those constituents in the Fairfax Center area, the western portion of the Springfield District. In addition to remarks from McConnell, participants will have the opportunity to hear from County Executive Anthony H. Griffin, Chief Financial Officer Edward Long and the Department of Tax Administration's Real Estate Division Director Janet Coldsmith.
A second community meeting will occur at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, in the Community Room of the West Springfield Government Center, 6140 Rolling Road, Springfield. This is to accommodate residents in the other end of the district. Griffin, Long and Lonnie Bryan of the Department of Tax Administration will present budget information at this meeting.
