Committee to Review IT Funding Plan, Paper Reduction Efforts
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Information Technology Committee will review the funding process for county IT investments and discuss paperwork reduction efforts on May 3 at 1 p.m. in room 232 of the Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax.
The issue of paperwork reduction was introduced by Providence District Supervisor Linda Q. Smyth at a recent Board of Supervisors meeting. The IT Committee will discuss possible ways to reduce paperwork beginning with a possible future electronic board package for each Board of Supervisors meeting, and internal communications and correspondence.
Also at the May 3 meeting, committee members will hear presentations on document management and imaging technologies, the Small Business Commission Web site, e-capabilities and technology initiatives related to land use.
