Nominations Now Being Accepted for Best of Braddock Awards
Braddock District Supervisor Sharon Bulova has announced a call for nominations for the Best of Braddock Awards. The BOBs, in their second year, recognize individuals, organizations and businesses that have gone above and beyond to make contributions to the Braddock District. The awards are jointly sponsored by Supervisor Bulova and the Braddock District Council.
“This is a great way for us to say thank you to those people, organizations and businesses that make the Braddock District such a great community and such a great place to live and work,” Supervisor Bulova said.
The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 17. Nomination forms are available by mail, at the Braddock District office or online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/gov/bos/bd/homepage.htm. Completed forms should be sent to Colin Campbell, Office of Braddock District Supervisor, 9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA 22015, by fax to 703-503-9583, or by e-mail to colin.campbell@fairfaxcounty.gov.
The award categories are:
• Neighborhood Enhancement or Beautification in the Braddock District
(the award winner can be either an individual homeowner or a community
association)
• Commercial Beautification or Improvement in the Braddock District
(landscaping, building appearance and clean-up projects are
eligible)
• Most “Can-Do” Public Employee Working on Issues in the Braddock
District (the winner can be a local, state or federal employee)
• Most Outstanding Business Person in the Braddock District
• Club or Organization Really Making a Difference in the Braddock
District
