Sample Annandale! to be Held on Saturday, May 22
Sample Annandale!, an outdoor festival, will be held on Saturday, May 22, at the George Mason Regional Library, located at 7001 Little River Turnpike in Annandale, from noon to 4 p.m., with the entertainment scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross will provide the welcome and officially open festivities at this second annual event.
Attendees will enjoy local entertainment, including performances by Annandale High School students and the Annandale Jazz Ambassadors on an outdoor stage. Area restaurants and community organizations will also have displays and children will be entertained with face painting, a puppet show by the Glass Heart Puppet Theatre and a martial arts demonstration. Sami Kalifa, Annandale Times Citizen of the Year, will serve as emcee for the event.
