Updated Community Association Manual Available Online
The Fairfax County Community Association Manual has recently been updated to keep the information current with changing conditions, new factors and recent legislative amendments. The changes have been added to the online community association manual, found on the county Web site at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dtcs/consserv/community_assn_manual.htm.
Changes to the manual include an update in chapter 1, page 3, regarding the Property Owners’ Association Act, as well as updates to both the Ordinances of Fairfax County and the Code of Virginia.
Condominium and homeowners associations and other interested people that maintain hard copies of the manual are encouraged to update their manuals by printing out the new information from the Web site.

The Consumer Protection Division also produces a
regular program on Fairfax County Government cable Channel 16, “Your Community, Your
Call,” designed for Fairfax County condominium and homeowners
association directors, managers, members and residents. It airs live on
Channel 16, along with several rebroadcasts during the month and is
available through Channel 16’s video-on-demand service at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dtcs/channel16/vstream.htm.
