Cash, Check or Credit Card?
Paying for solid waste disposal in Fairfax County is even more
convenient for residents who can now pay for trash disposal services at
the I-95 and I-66 Citizen’s Disposal Facilities using Visa or MasterCard
credit cards. Disposal fees are charged for refuse, brush, yard waste,
white goods and tires. Recyclable materials and household hazardous waste
are accepted free of charge at both locations. Commercial cash customers
may also use credit cards to pay for disposal.
The I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Citizen Disposal Facility accept a
wide variety of solid waste for disposal. Generally, all non-hazardous
waste can be disposed of at these two facilities. This includes household
trash, scrap wood, metal, brush, ceiling tiles, and appliances such as
stoves, washers and dryers. Recyclables are also accepted at both
locations free of charge. There is also a Household Hazardous Waste
disposal program operated at each facility during designated hours. For
more information about acceptable waste and the household hazardous waste
disposal program, visit www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dpwes/trash/dispwstetype.htm.
