Environmental Grant Winners Announced
The Clean Fairfax Council and the Fairfax County Solid Waste Management Program are proud to announce the 2004 Johnie Forte Jr. grant winners. The winning schools receive up to $500 for recycling or litter prevention projects. This year’s winners include:
- Annandale Terrace Elementary School – “We Can Make a Difference”
- Bryant Alternative High School – “Mini-Movies for the Environment”
- Colvin Run Elementary School – “The Lifecycle of Recyclable Products”
- Floris Elementary School – “Eagle Recycling Company”
- Graham Road Elementary School – “School Pride Days”
- Greenbriar East Elementary – “Manage Our Waste Well Program”
- Hayfield Secondary School – “Hawks Recycle”
- Herndon High School – “Green School Environmental Recycling Initiative”
- Kings Glen Elementary – “Litter Patrol: Mother Nature's Helpers”
- Langley High School – “Reclaim & Recycle in Your Courtyard”
- South Lakes High School – “School Area Cleanup”
