Board of Supervisors Public Hearings and Mark-Up Schedule for the 2004/2005 North County Area Plans Review
The Board of Supervisors public hearings have been scheduled for the 2004/2005 North County Area Plans Review. The Area Plans Review process provides an opportunity for the public to participate in the land use planning process related to the county’s comprehensive plan. Amendments proposed to the plan will be the subject of these public hearings. Information about the proposed amendments may be found on the Department of Planning and Zoning Web page for the Area Plans Review process at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dpz/apr.
June 20 at 5:30 p.m.: Sully and Hunter Mill Districts
July 11 at 5:30 p.m.: Providence and Dranesville Districts
Location: Government Center, Board Auditorium

Preceding the Board public hearings will be the Planning Commission
public hearings and mark-up meeting.
April 20 at 7:30 p.m.: Dranesville, Hunter Mill and Sully
Districts
April 21 at 7:30 p.m.: Providence District
April 27 at 7:30 p.m.: Carryover, if needed
May 18 at 8:15 p.m.: Mark-up (decision) meeting

Only nominations recommended for approval by the Planning Commission will be the subject of the Board of Supervisors public hearings. At the Board of Supervisors public hearings, citizens have an opportunity to address the Board about the nominations, either by speaking at the public hearing or by submitting written testimony prior to the public hearing to the clerk to the Board. Following the public hearing for each nomination, the Board will act on that nomination during “mark-up.” The Board will either vote to leave the plan unchanged, to amend the plan or to defer decision to a later date.
