911 Center Observes National Telecommunicator's Week

The Fairfax County Public Safety Communications Center celebrated National Telecommunicator’s Week, April 11 - 15, with an open house and an awards ceremony on Friday, April 15. This week is recognized yearly for the tireless service provided by 911 call takers and dispatchers nationwide who work 24-hours a day, seven-days a week to provide emergency, as well as non-emergency assistance.

As part of the observance, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerald E. Connolly toured the facility and greeted 911 center call takers and dispatchers. Pictured from left to right are Lorraine Fells-Danzer, Amanda Russell, Anna Curry, Chairman Connolly, Major Shawn Barrett (police), Captain Jim Charron (police) and Deputy County Executive Rob Stalzer.
