Issue Proclamations and Adopt a Resolution
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, at its
meeting on Monday, April 25, beginning at
9 a.m., will recognize the following citizens and staff for their
accomplishments, issue proclamations and adopt a resolution as listed

Older Americans Month
Celebrate long-term living
The Board of Supervisors will designate May as Older Americans Month in
Fairfax County.
Anne Andrews and the Route One Task
Force
Recognizing 30 years of service to the
community
Anne Andrews and the Route One Task Force for Human Services will be
recognized for 30 years of service to the community.
Service to the Community
Paying tribute to 25 years of service to the
community
The McLean Citizens Foundation will be recognized for 25 years of
service to the community.
Asian/Pacific - American Heritage
Month
May is the month proclaimed in Fairfax County
The Board of Supervisors will issue a proclamation to designate May as
Asian/Pacific - American Heritage Month in Fairfax County.
National Infant Immunization Week
Vaccination: An act of love
The Board of Supervisors will designate the week of May 24 - 30, 2005,
as National Infant Immunization Week in Fairfax County.
Donate Life Month
Encouraging the community to give the ultimate gift, the
gift of life
The Board of Supervisors will designate April as Life Month in Fairfax
County.
Foster Care Month
Honoring foster parents’ dedication to providing children
with a secure family environment
The Board of Supervisors will issue a proclamation to designate May as
Foster Care Month in Fairfax County.
Hats Off for Community Service
A salute to community service
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the Red Hatters of Vienna for
their generous support for the homeless and the mental health programs of
the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board.
Nurses Week
Honoring their dedication to the wellness of
others
The Board of Supervisors will designate the week of May 6 - 12, 2005, as
Nurses Week in Fairfax County.
Freedom Hill Elementary School

The Board of Supervisors will recognize the fourth grade students at
Freedom Hill Elementary School and their teacher, Mr. Miller, for their
achievements.
