McLean Neighborhood College Now Accepting Applications
The McLean Neighborhood College, a community leadership development program, is now accepting applications for the class of 2005. The deadline to register for this free program is June 27 and class size is limited. Applications are available at the Dolley Madison Library or McLean Community Center.
“Students will learn about their local government and develop leadership skills to become more involved in the community,” said Robin Patton, regional community developer for Region 3 of the Fairfax County Department of Systems Management for Human Services. “Plus, the neighborhood college is a forum to meet neighbors, building an even greater sense of community.”
The McLean Neighborhood College will meet at the Dolley Madison Library, 1244 Oak Ridge Ave., McLean, every Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for four weeks, beginning July 1. Light refreshments will be served.
Neighborhood College is an award-winning community leadership development program offered by the Fairfax County Department of Systems Management for Human Services, in partnership with the Dolley Madison Library and the McLean Community Center.
