Old Courthouse to Remain Closed on Wednesday, July 20

The county’s old courthouse at 4000 Chain Bridge Road, in Fairfax, which houses the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, will be closed today, Wednesday, July 20, due to water damage and broken pumps.

All functions, activities, meetings and programs scheduled for Wednesday in the old courthouse and the JDRDC are canceled.

No decision has been made yet about whether the building will be open on Thursday, July 21.

Informational updates will be posted on the county’s Web site (www.fairfaxcounty.gov) and the emergency information line at 703-817-7771, TTY 711. County residents and JDRDC employees are encouraged to monitor the Web site or call the hotline for updates on the situation.
