Old Courthouse Facility to Reopen on Thursday, July 21

The county’s old courthouse at 4000 Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax, which houses the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, will reopen on Thursday, July 21, with a regular schedule. The building has been closed due to water damage and broken pumps.

All functions, activities, meetings and programs scheduled for today and this evening, Wednesday, July 20, in the old courthouse and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court remain canceled. These cancellations include tonight’s previously scheduled 5 and 6:30 p.m. drivers’ license ceremonies. Young drivers still can continue to drive on their 90-day temporary permits.
