South County Community Lunch Series
“Community Input Process”
The next South County Community Lunch Series will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Mount Vernon Community Mental Health Center, 8119 Holland Road, Alexandria. A networking luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the program, from noon until 1:30 p.m.
Alfonso Lopez and colleagues from Alcalde & Fay, a government and public affairs consulting firm, will provide information to citizens on how to communicate and work with elected officials on community issues. This educational meeting will explore the process for community input on human services issues and needs. There will be a questions and answers period following the presentation.
The program, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Mount Vernon Community Mental Health Center Advisory Board and the Fairfax County Department of Systems Management for Human Services, Region 1. Lunch will be provided.
