“Fairfax County 4 U” Community Open House
Fairfax County human services agencies have teamed up to host the “Fairfax County 4 U” community open house on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for the residents of the greater Annandale, Bailey’s Crossroads, Falls Church, Merrifield, Pimmit Hills and Seven Corners communities. The open house will be held at the Region 2 Human Services building located at 6245 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church and will focus on sharing information with residents about programs and services available in the county.
Agencies will have exhibits and literature available, as well as staff members who speak languages other than English, including Spanish, Somali, Urdu, Vietnamese and Korean. There will be entertainment, refreshments, giveaways, and games and other activities for children.
Participating agencies will include the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board, Department of Community and Recreation Services, Department of Family Services, Department of Systems Management for Human Services, Falls Church SkillSource Center, Department of Fire and Rescue, Health Department, Fairfax County Public Library and numerous nonprofit service providers.
FASTRAN will sponsor free shuttle bus service to and from “Fairfax County 4 U” and Bailey’s Day, an event sponsored by the Falls Church Rotary Club.
