Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule for Fairfax County
Listed below are schedules for Fairfax County Government offices and services for the Thanksgiving holiday, Nov. 23–25. Unless otherwise noted, regular schedules are in effect.
County Government – Closed Nov. 24 and 25
Courts – General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court closing at noon on Nov. 23 (Circuit Court open all day); all courts closed Nov. 24 and 25
Public Schools and School Offices – Schools closing two hours early Nov. 23, but offices remain open all day; all schools and offices closed Nov. 24 and 25
Libraries – Closed Nov. 24 and 25
Fairfax Connector – Sunday schedule Nov. 24
FASTRAN – Not in service Nov. 24 and 25
Park Authority RECenters – Closing at noon Nov. 24*
Community, Teen and Senior Centers – Closed Nov. 24 and 25**
County Trash Collection – Regular schedule***
Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 and I-95 – Closed Nov. 24
* The George Washington RECenter in Alexandria remains closed for repairs.
** Reston Community Center’s Hunters Woods facility and pool will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 24; on Nov. 25, Hunters Woods will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the pool will be open from noon to 4:30 p.m.
