Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Evaluates County Executive

At its regular meeting on Jan. 23, 2006, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors performed its annual evaluation of the county executive and approved a salary adjustment. The process used by the board in evaluating its employees reflects the goal of salary adjustments based on demonstrated performance.

The specific adjustment to the compensation package of Anthony H. Griffin, county executive, whose tenure began on Dec. 6, 1999, is:

• A 4.5 percent increase, or $9,215, to his base salary, raising it to $213,960. This increase will be effective the next pay period of Feb. 4, 2006.

All other terms of his contract remain the same.
