Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Evaluates County Attorney

At its regular meeting on Jan. 23, 2006, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors performed its annual evaluation of the county attorney and approved salary and benefit adjustments. The process used by the board in evaluating its employees reflects the goal of salary adjustments based on demonstrated performance.

The specific adjustments to the compensation package of David P. Bobzien, county attorney, whose tenure began on Jan. 3, 1993, are:

• A 5 percent increase, or $8,745, to his base salary, raising it to $183,680. This increase will be effective the next pay period of Feb. 4, 2006.

His total compensation, including deferred compensation, is now $201,680.
