Eileen M. McLane Appointed Fairfax County Zoning Administrator
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors today appointed Eileen M. McLaneas the zoning administrator for Fairfax County. McLane’s appointment is effective on June 9.
McLane has worked for the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning since 1990 and currently serves as the assistant director for the Zoning Administration Division. Before joining the county, she served as a planner for the Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission in Prince George’s County.
McLane holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in urban affairs from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
The Fairfax County zoning administrator plans, directs and coordinates programs for the administration and enforcement of the county’s zoning ordinance. This includes overseeing and processing of zoning ordinance amendments, interpretations of the zoning ordinance and appeals of various zoning decisions, investigating and processing of alleged violations and processing permits applications such as building permits, non-residential use permits and home occupation permits.
McLane’s salary will be $114,686.
