South County Center Open House Set for May 20
Residents are invited to come learn more about the programs and services available at the South County Center at an open house on Saturday, May 20, from noon to 3 p.m., rain or shine. The South County Center is a Fairfax County government building located at 8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, that houses more than 27 agencies to serve the residents in the south part of the county.
Representatives from the Police Department and Fire and Rescue Department will be on hand to display vehicles and provide periodic tours to the Mount Vernon Police Station. Agency representatives will be available to discuss senior services, youth services, employment services and much more. Attendees can enjoy ice cream, snacks, entertainment and activities for children.
Information also will be available on Access Fairfax, a multi-purpose e-government facility located in the South County Center. The facility — the first of its kind in Fairfax County — provides access to government information and services for residents and visitors in the Richmond Highway corridor.
For more information, call 703-704-6000, TTY 711.
