Fairfax County Offers In-Person Absentee Voting for June 13 Primary Elections
Primary elections will be held for both the Democratic and Republican parties on Tuesday, June 13. Any eligible Fairfax County voter who meets the legal requirements may vote absentee in these elections.
In an effort to make absentee voting easily accessible, the Fairfax County Office of the General Registrar is offering in-person absentee voting through Saturday, June 10, in Suite 323 of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax. Residents may vote Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional voting hours will be available on Saturdays, June 3 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Voters are advised to cast absentee votes early. Because Celebrate Fairfax! will take place on the Government Center grounds on June 9 and 10, Fairfax County and the Office of the General Registrar have made special arrangements to accommodate voters on those dates. People needing assistance or additional information should call the Office of the General Registrar, 703-222-0776, TTY 771, during in-person absentee voting hours.
In these primary elections, voters in the 8th, 10th and 11th Congressional Districts will be selecting a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate; in addition, voters in the 11thCongressional District also will be selecting a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. Voters in the 8thCongressional District will be selecting a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. The winners of these elections will be on the ballot in the Nov. 7 General Election.
