June 7 Meeting Scheduled to Discuss Widening of
Fairfax County Parkway
An open house will be held on Wednesday, June 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oak Hill Elementary School, 3210 Kinross Circle, Oak Hill, to discuss the widening of Fairfax County Parkway. A presentation is scheduled at 6 p.m. followed by questions and answers.
Conceptual plans have been developed for the proposed widening of Fairfax County Parkway from Route 50 to the Washington Dulles Airport Access and Toll Road. The proposed widening will increase the parkway from four to six lanes with the possibility of the additional lane becoming an HOV lane. This project is only funded for design and environmental studies. There are currently no funds available for construction. The plans can be reviewed at the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 449, Fairfax.
