Public Meeting on July 11 to Focus on Proposed Bus Route Changes in Reston
The Fairfax County Department of Transportation has scheduled a public meeting to provide the opportunity for comment on proposed bus route changes in Reston. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Reston Regional Library, 11925 Bowman Towne Center, Reston, in Community Room 2.
The public is encouraged to come and comment on the proposal to:
- Discontinue Fairfax Connector Route 504 due to low passenger loads.
- Enhance Route 574 by adding additional trips on weekdays and adding weekend service to partially offset the impact of eliminating Route 504.
- Revise the routing of Route 574 to provide two-way service on the southern section of North Shore Drive.
For a copy of the proposal for Route 574, go to the Fairfax Connector Web page at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector, or call 703-324-1120, TTY 703-324-1102.
The Reston Regional Library can be reached by Fairfax Connector 574 and RIBS 1 and 3 routes.
