Grosvenor Precinct Polling Place Changed for Nov. 7 Election
National Election Worker Appreciation Week Is Nov. 5 - 11
Voters in Fairfax County’s Grosvenor Precinct will be voting at a new location in the upcoming Nov. 7 general election. Due to renovations at the usual voting location (Riverside Park Apartments), the Fairfax County Electoral Board has voted to temporarily relocate the polling location to Huntington Community Center, 5751 Liberty Drive, Alexandria. All voters impacted by this change have been notified by mail. For information and questions about this and other polling locations for the Nov. 7 election, go to the Office of Elections’ Web page at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/eb, e-mail to voting@fairfaxcounty.gov or call 703-222-0776, TTY 711.
Polling places would not be successful without the hard work and dedication of poll workers and election officers. On Election Day more than 1 million people throughout the United States will be serving as poll workers and election officers. This includes more than 2,000 Fairfax County residents. In honor of these devoted public servants, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission has proclaimed the week of Nov. 5 - 11 as National Election Worker Appreciation Week.
The Fairfax County Office of Elections is proud to recognize election officers who work tirelessly to make the election process accurate and efficient. As you vote on Tuesday, please take time to thank them for their efforts.
There is always a need for additional election workers. If you would like to be of service, contact the Fairfax County Office of Elections at 703-324-4735, TTY 711.
