Holiday Schedules for Fairfax County Government
Listed below are schedules for Fairfax County government offices and
services for the Christmas holiday. Unless otherwise noted, regular
schedules are in effect.
County Government -- Closed Dec. 24 and 25
Courts -- Closed Dec. 24 and 25
Public Schools and School Offices -- Schools not in session Dec. 24 through Jan. 1; school offices closed Dec. 24 and 25
Libraries -- Closed Dec. 24 and 25
Fairfax Connector -- Weekday schedule on Dec. 24; Sunday schedule on Dec. 25
FASTRAN -- Not in service Dec. 24 and 25
Park Authority RECenters -- Open until noon on Dec. 24; closed Dec. 25 (George Washington RECenter will be closed both days)*
Community, Teen and Senior Centers -- Closed Dec. 24 and 25
County Trash and County Recycling Collection -- No trash service Dec. 25 (Tuesday customers will receive service on Wednesday); all recycling collections will be pushed back one day the week of Dec. 24**
Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 and I-95 -- Open until 1 p.m. on Dec. 24; closed Dec. 25
* Nature centers, historic sites, Frying Pan Farm Park and Green Spring Gardens are all closed on Dec. 24 and 25.
