George Washington's Day Holiday Schedules for Fairfax County Government

Listed below are schedules for Fairfax County government offices and services for the George Washington's Day holiday on Monday, Feb. 18.

County Government – Closed

Courts – Closed

Public Schools and School Offices – Closed

Libraries – Closed

Fairfax Connector – Regular schedule, but no service on Routes 595/597

Fastran – Not in service

Park Authority – Nature centers and historic sites will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Frying Pan Farm Park will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (visitor center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); Green Spring Gardens will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (historic house will be closed); RECenters will be open.

Community, Teen and Senior Centers – Closed*

County Trash and County Recycling Collection – Open; please have trash and recyclables properly set out at curb by 6 a.m. to ensure collection.**

Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 and I-95 – Open

* The Reston Community Center's Hunters Woods facility (2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston) will be open from
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Lake Anne facility will be closed.

** Residents receiving trash and recyclables collection service from private collection companies should contact their service provider directly to learn of any schedule adjustments for the holiday.
