Phased Move-in Continues for Courts and Offices Into
Fairfax Courthouse Expansion
A variety of court and public safety offices and services have relocated into the Fairfax County Courthouse expansion facility at 4110 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, which opened to the public on Feb. 25. Others will move in during upcoming weeks. To facilitate the ongoing moves, there will be temporary schedule adjustments and new room assignments.
Currently located in the Fairfax County Courthouse expansion
Public entrance to the Fairfax County Courthouse. There no longer is
public access through the Jennings Judicial Center
Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney — 1st floor.
Public Law Library — 1st floor as of March 10.
Sheriff’s Office — civil enforcement, 1st floor; roll call/operations
and administration, 2nd floor.
Office of Public Affairs Information Desk — 1st floor.
Fairfax Bar Association — 2nd floor.
Police Liaison Office — 1st floor.
Jury Assembly Area — 5th floor.
Circuit Court public services — 1st floor.
- Probate offices — 4th floor.
General District Court
Civil — 3rd floor.
Traffic — 1st floor.
Criminal — 2nd floor as of March 11. Closed March 7 at noon and all day
March 10-11 (for appeals and any emergency motions during the closure,
go to the Traffic Office on the 1st floor).
Towns (Vienna and Herndon) and public access terminals — 2nd floor as

Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and related
- Continue in current location at 4000 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, until moving into the expanded courthouse next year.
The traffic pattern has changed; there is now a one-way loop to the entrance of the new courthouse from Chain Bridge Road (Route 123), Page Avenue or West Street. There is a drop-off site in front of the new entrance. The roadway entrance to the courthouse complex from Chain Bridge Road will be reopened. Public parking will remain in Parking Garage B on Page Avenue.
This marks the completion of Phase I of the Courthouse Expansion and
Renovation Project. Phase II begins immediately with the renovation of
the Jennings Judicial Center. When the renovation is completed, projected
for spring 2009, a grand opening for the entire courthouse will be
