Northern Virginia Response Team
Returns from Suffolk This Afternoon

A team of emergency management and fire and rescue personnel from Northern Virginia is returning home today following a three-day deployment to Suffolk, Va., where they assisted in recovery operations from the devastating tornadoes that swept through southeastern Virginia on Monday, April 28.
The team, composed of personnel from Arlington County, the city of Fairfax and Fairfax County, will arrive at the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, today, Friday, May 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m. The team will be available for media interviews upon their arrival.
The five-member team provided three days of operational support and relief for city personnel working in the Suffolk Emergency Operations Center.
