Residents are invited to come and learn more about the programs and services available at Fairfax County’s South County Center at an open house on Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine. The South County Center, located at 8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, houses more than 27 agencies to serve residents in the southern part of the county.

Fun family activities include face painting, bike rodeo, entertainment and a variety of refreshments. All services and activities are provided at no cost. The police will provide “prisoner transportation vehicles” tours to the Mount Vernon District Station. The Police Department also will conduct fingerprinting for children.

Fairfax County agency representatives will provide details on a wide variety of services for older adults, youth, families, in addition to employment services and much more.
